De Novo HRConsulting is Hiring a Leasing Manager Near Philadelphia, PA
Our client, Stonewater Development Group, is seeking a Leasing Manager to add to the team! The Leasing Manager is responsible for handling and managing leasing appointments, showing available units to prospective tenants/residents, negotiating rental pricing, promoting resident retention, and providing an exceptional customer experience during the entire resident lifecycle.
This position is on-site in Philadelphia, and would require local travel.
Essential responsibilities include:
- Generate and follow up on leads and inquiries.
- Meet with prospective residents to show (tour) available units.
- Screen prospective residents and process applications to lease/rent apartments.
- Prepare, gather, process, and verify all rental applications and supporting documentation (eg: proof of income, proof of renters insurance, and so on).
- Assist residents as warranted and in accordance with Fair Housing Guidelines.
- Maintain client files and applications.
- Research and manage PHA voucher program to ensure compliance with HUD regulations.
- Manage renewals for existing tenants.
- Negotiate rental pricing with PHA tenants.
- Schedule move-in/outs and inspection of apartments.
- Coordinate turnover of apartments to ensure units are ready for occupancy.
- Manage resident relation issues.
- Contribute to the team effort and company profitability.
Highly qualified candidates will possess most or all of the following:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Philadelphia Housing Authority (PHA) experience a plus.
- Experience working as a leasing agent (affordable/subsidized housing preferred).
- Experience with Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) and Section 8 Housing preferred.
- Reliable personally owned vehicle required.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
- Proficient listening, verbal, and written communication skills to convey information concisely yet effectively.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously (multi-tasker). High attention to accuracy and detail.
