DDI Brand is Hiring a Microsoft 365 Administrator Near Smithtown, NY

The Microsoft Office365 Administrator supports and administers the operations of all Microsoft-based infrastructures and projects. 

Salary Range: $70,000-$80,000/year

Daily Responsibilities: 

  • Support and administer the operations of all Microsoft-based infrastructures as well as projects based on that infrastructure.
  • Provide IT leadership, engineering consulting support and oversight for all areas of Microsoft related technologies, including Microsoft 365 and associated technology including best practices, security, and configuration.
  • Manage daily technical IT operations related to windows support. Plan for and arrange changes, upgrades, data migration, or downtime as necessary and proactively communicate them within our organization.
  • Create and maintain metrics reports and dashboards for measuring effectiveness and business impact.
  • Develop and maintain scripts used to manage\support the Office 365 environment for multiple applications.
  • Manage Microsoft 365 security administration.
  • Perform application maintenance, e.g. system parameters, user permissions, group policies, etc.
  • Provide system support and maintain uptime as defined within the IT acceptable standards.
  • Provide security-related updates and/or patches.
  • Developing dashboards, designing business reports and data analysis.
  • Develop, maintain and update Microsoft 365 governance documentation.
  • Efficiently diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Responsible for adhering to company established security procedures.
  • Proactively stay up to date with all the latest technologies.
  • Recognize and escalate difficult technical issues within the organization or to external vendors.
  • Work with support and/or product development personnel to troubleshoot and work around product issues.
  • Well-organized with the ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have a current valid NYS driver's license and travel to various locations throughout Long Island with equipment.
  • Maintains 24x7 availability and be willing to provide after-hours support as needed. On-call rotation required.
  • Will occasionally need to work after regular office hours and on weekends.
  • Performs other job-related duties as required.

Competencies:

  • Identify, research, recommend, and implement Microsoft 365 solutions and applications such as Azure AD, Teams, Flow, PowerApps, OneDrive, Forms, Office, SharePoint, Endpoint Manager, etc.
  • Serve as a point of contact regarding new requests related to Microsoft applications and solutions to meet business needs.
  • Provide second/third level support services to employees for complex, technical and configuration issues related to Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Implement compliance and enforce ownership of applications and site content with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with workgroups for the integration and testing of applications that support Office 365 solutions.
  • Stay current on Microsoft 365 changes, updates and new Microsoft releases for Office 365 and related products.
  • Define requirements and scope for project implementations.
  • Ensure effective use of existing applications and deliver new solutions on time and with high quality.
  • Experience in the development of technical and user documentation.
  • Scripting and development skills using PowerShell.
  • Performing timely recognition, isolation, resolution and follow-up of submitted help desk tickets.
  • Experience with Mobile Devices and Mobile Device Management.
  • Ability to create technical documentation, Knowledge Base Articles / Technical Notes.
  • Developing user training and instructional materials as needed.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, planning and migration skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and successfully work on several projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and resourceful.

  • Reacts quickly and adapts to changes in priorities, circumstances and direction.
  • Applies high level of attention to detail and accuracy.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • At least 4 years' experience in Information Technologies, or another related area with experience supporting Microsoft 365 applications for a non-profit, healthcare and/or education environment
  • One or more Microsoft 365/Azure certifications a plus
  • Demonstrated experience with call tracking/ticket management system
  • Demonstrated experience with cloud technologies

Physical Demands:

  • Must possess average dexterity to effectively work with standard office equipment. 
  • Must be able to maneuver and position oneself to install, remove and inspect various equipment at different heights. 
  • Must be able to lift, move and transport varying IT equipment, up to 50 pounds.
