DCU Opportunities is Hiring an User Experience Design Specialist, Chelmsford, MA, Hybrid, Full-Time Near Chelmsford, MA

Schedule

Monday - Friday 8-5 (40 hours) Hybrid. 5 days/month onsite.

What You’ll Do

Summary/Objective:

The User Experience Design Specialist is responsible for championing the experience design strategy of the credit union across web, mobile, and other digital applications. This role will partner with internal clients to define the desired experience for the end user and conduct the research and strategic planning necessary to bring that experience to life in collaboration with UI designers and developers. This individual will also, through observation and quantitative and qualitative analysis, audit existing experience and prototype solutions to user pain points. Overall, this position will help to make our experiences user-friendly, accessible, functional and consistent.

Essential Functions:

  • Advocates for the end user to ensure that digital product and design decisions are aligned with user expectations.
  • Leverages expert knowledge in user-centered design principles to design and prototype visual mocks, wireframes and concepts to the highest possible standards.
  • Builds simple, beautiful and usable experiences by placing the member first, while balancing business and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Create and maintain user experience documentation such as competitive site analyses, user scenarios and flows, detailed functional wireframes, interaction notes, and interactive prototypes.
  • Plans and executes research and usability studies through in-person and remote qualitative tools to create a new understanding of members’ needs and expectations.
  • Analyzes data from market research, customer feedback, and AI analysis to determine new connections that inform the creation and optimization of the UX.
  • Periodically present and report to executive management on infrastructure changes and initiatives.
  • Be highly communicative and responsive all stakeholders while managing a large volume of projects.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by Managers(s).

What You’ll Need

  • 3-4 years combined experience in UX Design, digital product usability, or digital marketing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, computer science, design or another applicable field preferred.
  • Experience working in managing content, publishing and moderating a site in Adobe Experience Manager.
  • Proficiency in Adobe XD, Sketch or InVision, Figma
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and macOS operating system.
