The primary role is negotiating and securing offtake contracts with large commercial and industrial (C&I) customers. In addition to offtake origination duties, the successful candidate will help identify new project opportunities and advance them through the development process, including, but not limited to, site identification, lease negotiation, permitting, resource assessment, transmission interconnection process management and community engagement. This may be greenfield or acquisition of development projects.Reports to: Senior Vice President, Development Location: Remote (United States)Responsibilities:Identify and assess offtake opportunities for renewable energy projects including solar, wind and storage with initial emphasis on ERCOT.Develop and maintain strong business relationships with C&I and LSE energy market participants, financial institutions, municipals, and cooperatives. Develop, negotiate, and execute short-term and long-term financial and direct off-take agreements with market participants.Drive power marketing “ideas” to definitive deliverables (financial models, term sheets, contracts) and timetables for execution.Support project development activities in early, mid, and/or late stages.Direct development of projects commensurate with their level of maturity and applicable commercial strategy. Qualifications & Requirements:5 years of experience originating and executing PPAs and 3 years project development experience. Demonstrated success closing renewable energy projects and offtake agreements is required. Strong preference for ERCOT experience.Able to identify and formulate risks management strategies for offtake structures.Familiarity with renewable energy project development, real estate development, transmission, and power project engineering.Professional presence and strong communication skills.Willingness and ability to travel as needed.Salary Range - $210,000 - $250,000 plus bonus
