SUMMARY:
Serves as a specialist for the mechanical phases of design projects including process mechanical, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), and piping systems. Prepares mechanical designs for water, sewer and wastewater treatment facilities. Reviews studies, cost estimates and designs prepared by consultants and other contractors to verify completeness, accuracy and compliance with the Authority’s design standards, specifications and other applicable codes and regulations. Incumbent is expected to carry out assignments independently, interpreting policy and regulations and coordinating work with others as required. Methodology and approaches to solution of problems are typically determined by the incumbent.

Key Working Relationships: Interacts with co-workers in the department and throughout the Authority, consultants and contractors, and representatives from other government or private agencies or organizations.
