Job Description:

We are in search of a detail-oriented and proactive Shipping and Receiving Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and accurate account and flow of materials through our facility. Primary responsibilities will include accurate and timely processing of incoming materials received and outbound shipments to customers while supporting the highest standards of quality control. Will be required to work collaboratively with DC team members in Logistics, Purchasing, and Production.

*This position requires you to be outside at our loading dock majority of the time.

Responsibilities:

Material Check-in and Check-out

• Receive and inspect all incoming materials.
• Ensure materials are stored properly.
• Use forklift to load material onto trucks.
• Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Incoming Order Management:

• Ensure orders are delivered in full and on time.
• Perform quality checks on incoming orders being received and before dispatch.
• Record accuracy of shipments via photos and documentation for future reconciliation

ERP System Operations:

• Enter stock receipts and maintain accurate records in the ERP system.
• Process Sales orders through the ERP system to document workflow.

Cycle Count and Inventory Oversight:

• Oversee the cycle count process to maintain accurate inventory levels.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in inventory counts.

Inventory Management:

• Ensure materials are stored on a FIFO basis.
• Stage materials based on job requirements and oversee the packing process, ensuring proper documentation.

Quality Assurance:

• Report material quality concerns to the purchaser and production manager and assist to resolve issues accordingly.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in shipping and receiving coordination.
• Forklift experience preferred
• Familiarity with ERP systems and proficiency in data entry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with various teams.
• Problem-solving skills to address inventory discrepancies.
• Physical ability to handle and lift packages as required.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years’ experience in a similar role is preferred.
• Certification in shipping and receiving would be a plus.
