Davis Behavioral Health, Inc. is seeking a full-time Adult Recovery Supports Specialist/Case Manager to join the Adult Substance Abuse team.
The Recovery Support Program at DBH is committed to helping Davis County residents with substance use issues engage with a lifestyle of recovery. The Recovery Support Program assists clients in all levels of care in treatment with DBH. The selected Recovery Support Specialist will provide case management, personal recovery coaching, and peer support through group and individual work with clients. This position will be working substance use clients in an outpatient capacity, linking and coordinating needed resources in the community. The applicant will need to be available at least 1-2 evenings per week.

This position is classified as full-time, non-exempt. The selected applicant will be required to work two (2) evenings between 8:00 pm and 9:00 pm. DBH reserves the right to require overtime, weekend work, and/or assignment to evening or night shifts, depending upon operational need, some in and out of state travel may be required. Occasional weekend work may also be required, specifically related to recovery support activities.

The selected candidate must successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening. DBH will not hire individuals currently using illegal drugs or abusing alcohol; therefore, making employment at DBH conditional upon successfully passing pre-employment drug screening by providing a valid sample. Candidates who are offered employment are required to report for a drug screen at an Intermountain WorkMed location within 24 hours of being requested to do so by the DBH Human Resources Department.
Davis Behavioral Health works with Federal grants and must comply with the Federal drug laws, including no use of medical marijuana.
All staff at the Davis County Receiving Center are required to be First Aid and CPR certified within 30 days of hire.
The successful candidate must be certified as a Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) by the Utah Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health. Candidates who meet eligibility requirements to become a CPSS (http://hsemployee.utah.gov/dsamh/cps/) will also be considered with the expectation that certification as a Targeted Case Manager (TCM) is completed within the first 30 days of employment and certification as a Peer Support Specialist is completed as soon as possible, but no later than 6 months after hire.

Qualifications to become a certified Targeted Case Manager through the State of Utah Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health include:
Preference will also be given to candidates who are bilingual English/Spanish.
The successful candidate must also have a clean driving record to operate agency vehicles and/or transport clients, when necessary.
Davis Behavioral Health utilizes an electronic medical record, which requires proficiency in computer-related skills.
Meeting monthly face-to-face service expectations and productivity standards is also required.
The successful candidate must be able to pass a pre-employment background screening, drug screening, and have a clean driving record.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with clients that have sever mental illness, are hard working, can work both independently and successfully within a small outreach team.
