We are growing and looking for a Fabrication Supervisor to join our team.

Our operations in Conway, Arkansas include metal stamping, forming, painting, and assembly. The facility utilizes stamping presses, brake presses, roll forms, lasers, shears, and a multi-stage paint process. A concept to finished products company providing parts and sub-assemblies to our customers. Approximately 100,000 square feet of floor space and 50 acres are utilized for fabrication operations. An additional 350,000 square feet is available for future business growth.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY:
  • Plan and control all scheduling activities for the facility. Balance production and inventory levels with demand to support target consistent with 99% customer service levels, inventory turn goals and capacity utilization/staffing requirements.
  • Participates on SAP development teams. Eliminate the use of off-line spreadsheets and processes for scheduling.
  • Lead efforts to install standard processes for the Master Production Scheduling function, in accordance with MRP methodology.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop valid, feasible production schedules for finished goods and component items based on equipment, labor and raw material availability to meet customer demand.
  • Interact frequently with production managers to balance supply and demand.
  • Issue all work orders to production schedule.
  • Schedule sub-contractors within master schedule.
  • Plan and control production scheduling activities supporting multiple product lines.
  • Create a “locked down” master production schedule weekly.
  • Publish and perform root cause analyses on key metrics including Customer Service Level, Actual vs. Scheduled Productions and Master Schedule Stability.
  • Balance production and inventory levels with demand to support target.
  • Ensure integrity of data entry.
  • Monitor and control Item Master to ensure integrity of data accuracy.
  • Develop Sales & Operating Plan summaries including demand, inventory, and production data.
  • Calculate resulting requirements for raw materials, purchased parts and packaging supplies based on MRP methodology.
  • Validate any issues with MRP requirements and determine and correct root cause.
  • Enable Business Development and Program Management to make legitimate delivery commitments to customers.
  • Assist with the implementation of Cycle Counting and Bar Coding to support inventory integrity.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective action when a problem has been identified.
  • Responsible for coordinating rework and preventive maintenance into the production schedule.
  • Ensure the coordination of die trials into production schedules.
  • Track schedule attainment and overall equipment efficiency (OEE).
  • Able to train others so that they can function in your absence.
  • Reconciliation of all work orders and transfer of jobs to completed production.
  • Participate in all physical inventories as required.
  • Other related duties as assigned by Manager.
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • BA/BS degree - Business or Technical preferred.
  • APICS certification a plus.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • 5-8 year's experience in Manufacturing and/or Materials management, including at least two years in materials management.
  • Experienced user of computer systems.
  • SAP and MRP experience required.
  • Experience with JIT and Subcontracting experience. 
COMPLEXITY OF TASKS:
  • Incumbent must review the information at hand to maintain a production schedule that meets the Customers needs.
  • Must compare the customers’ needs to actual performance and report to the Materials Manager.
  • Frequent contact with Production, Shipping, Engineering and Customer Service.
  • Extensive use of computers and related software/hardware.
PAY:
  • 60-65,000 Salary, Depending on skill and experience.
