Forklift Operator-Sit Down

Shift: 2-2-3 schedule working every other weekend

A Shift: 6am – 6pm Sunday thru Tuesday and every other Wednesday.

B Shift: 6pm – 6am Sunday thru Tuesday and every other Wednesday.

C Shift: 6am – 6pm Thursday thru Saturday and every other Wednesday.

D Shift: 6pm – 6am Thursday thru Saturday and every other Wednesday.

Pay: $19.25 an hour with $2 an hour weekend pay

Role Purpose

You’ll be part of DB Schenker team that is responsible for operating powered equipment for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting product. Responsible for checking all inbound and outbound products. Ensures products are free of damage and infestation, product code dates are properly recorded and products match customer requirements.

What will you enjoy doing (duties/tasks)

• Load inbound and outbound freight to and from vehicles and containers
• Unload inbound and outbound containers and sort according to size of freight and destination
• Read, decode, and decipher freight coding in order to expedite freight movement and tracing process
• Reconcile driver pick up and delivery manifests
• Label, weigh, and dimensionalize freight
• Perform cleanup activities in the work area to ensure safety and cleanliness of dock
• Record damaged shipments and misrouted freight on applicable reports

What you need to succeed (Qualifications, experience, skills, attributes)

• Must be 18 years or older with ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines
• Good interpersonal skills required
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Experience loading and unloading trailers preferred
• Dock/warehouse experience preferred
• Sit Down Forklift experience
