Job Overview
Responsible for pulling orders, prepping for outbound shipment, loading and unloading freight accurately, inspection and other warehouse related
duties. Ensure all products are accurately pulled and over-packed correctly to customer expectations.
What will you enjoy doing (duties/tasks)
Safely operate forklift and other material handling equipment (MHE) including sit down, reach truck, cherry picker, layer pick, etc.
Load inbound and outbound freight to and from vehicles and containers
Accurately pull orders based on location, part number, batch and quantity
Placard, weigh, and record dimensions on appropriate paperwork
Sort outbound freight based on carrier lane assignments
Over-box pallets, wrap pallets and strap pallets in preparation for shipment
Perform cleanup activities in the work area to ensure safety and cleanliness of dock
Keeping shipping supplies organized and communication on supply needs
Daily forklift inspection sheet completed prior to operation of forklift
Complete other duties or tasks as assigned
What you need to succeed (Qualifications, experience, skills, attributes)
This is an intermediate level position.
Good interpersonal skills required.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Generally, prefer 1-4 years of experience.
Must be familiar with OSHA regulations, able to operate a variety of equipment such as a forklift and a computer, and have strong
organizational, inventory and accounting skills.
Physical requirements include, but are not limited to pushing, pulling, lifting varying weights up to 50 lbs.
