Dazzling Smiles Dental is Hiring a Dental Assistant Near Carrollton, TX

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the dentist and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in dental assisting and a passion for providing exceptional patient care.

Duties:
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and procedures
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including taking X-rays, suctioning, and passing instruments
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment following infection control protocols
- Take and record patient medical history and vital signs
- Provide post-operative instructions to patients
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office calendar
- Assist with dental receptionist duties as needed, including answering phone calls and managing patient records
- Utilize dental software systems such as Dentrix to update patient information and maintain accurate records
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality

Skills:
- Proficiency in dental assisting techniques, including knowledge of dental instruments and procedures
- Familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix or Epic
- Strong understanding of infection control protocols in a dental setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other dental professionals
- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
