Required Qualifications:This position requires a high school diploma or GED and two (2) years of recent and verifiable grounds maintenance experience. Must have own transportation to report to other College locations as assigned. In addition, this position requires the candidate to be forklift certified.

Preferred Qualifications: Florida Lawn & Ornamental License.

Key Responsibilities: This is not a comprehensive list of responsibilities.

• Mows, cuts, trims, edges, weeds and maintains College grounds. Performs other landscaping tasks as directed.
• Supervises and trains assigned employees. Schedules, assigns and inspects their work.
• Maintains worker productivity in automated system for assigned area. Processes daily paperwork including leave reports, memos and requisitions.
• Coordinates work with other departments and sub-contractors.Assists in planning and organizing activities for Grounds Department.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Requires walking, standing, stooping, stretching, pushing, pulling, reaching and lifting all of the time, exerting at least 20 pounds of force on a recurring basis.
• Must be able to be exposed to outdoor temperatures, hot and cold.
• Must be able to follow oral/written communications.
• Must have computer knowledge to be able to clock in/clock out, and view personnel related information (paycheck, W-2, etc.)
