Overview

To assist the Corporate Controller manage processes and procedures of the Accounting Department.

Responsibilities

• Assist in identifying and providing direction and guidance to department staff 
• Ensure compliance with appropriate accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax requirements
• Ensure proper controls are in place to protect and ensure asset security
• Coordinate and manage internal budgeting process for the Company
• Coordinate with outside Accountants/Auditors and oversee annual financial audits Analyze Company transactions
• Assist with interviewing, hiring, completing evaluations of employees
• Perform special tasks as requested by Corporate Controller
• Provide technical assistance to all sister companies and subsidiaries
• Maintain relationships with outside professionals, such as accountants/auditors, banks, personnel, vendors, etc.
• Continuously improve and make recommendations for processes improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• CPA (preferred)
• 5 years experience in leadership/management
• 5 years experience in Accounting-related field
• Experience with Oracle (preferred)
• Skillful in Microsoft Office Programs
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
