Qualifications:
Meets certification requirements for driving school vehicles, including CDL.
Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in transportation management.
Must have training, experience and ability to responsibly manage safety policies and procedures in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Ability to interact with all staff and members of the community with tact, courtesy and diplomacy. Highly-proficient in the use and application of word processing programs, including data entry, management of spreadsheets, maintenance of digital records, and other technology-based needs.
Must be able to create and implement efficient routes to meet district transportation needs/requests.
Excellent organization and time management skills.
Demonstrates attention to detail.
Ability to work well with multiple deadlines and frequent interruptions.
Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with others.
Ability to create, organize and present in-service programs to meet training requirements.
Demonstrated leadership ability.
Must have strong communication, management and human relations skills.
Prior Transportation Supervisor experience a plus.
Duties Include, but not Limited to:
Assume full responsibility for the District’s transportation program.
Recruits, supervises and evaluates transportation employees and determines staffing needs.
Establishes bus routing, schedules, and adjustments in compliance with transportation policies.
Completes reporting duties as required.
Maintain relationships with administration, vendors, staff, and regulators as required.
Quality control monitoring to safety and effectiveness.
Maintains all training requirements for all transportation staff.
