Dawson Forte is Hiring an Accounts Receivable Clerk Near Canton, MA

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounts receivable and ensuring accuracy in financial records.

Duties:
-Invoice customers for their shipments daily

-Process customer credit card payments and pre-authorizations

-Follow up on credit card declines. Maintain accurate credit card information

-Post customer payments daily, researching and resolving any discrepancies

-Process customer returns on a timely basis

-Perform customer account analysis & reconciliation

-Establish and monitor credit limits. Release credit-qualified orders

-Maintain accurate credit limit records in ERP system and credit insurance portal

-Perform collection calls & emails. Maintain an accurate log of past-due balances

-Negotiate payment plans with clients to resolve outstanding balances

-Complete credit insurance claims on uncollectible balances

-Complete daily accounts receivable reconciliation

-Email monthly statements to customers

-Perform aging and ineligible A/R reporting to support bank credit line

-Complete A/R roll forward schedules and other general ledger analysis

-Calculate monthly sales commission and related reconciliations

-Investigate customer charge-backs by directly communicating with customers, sales and sourcing teams to analyze and resolve the charges

-Respond to credit reference requests

-Utilize A2000 (apparel-focused ERP system) to perform for accounting tasks

-Utilize accounting principles to maintain accurate financial records

-Proficient in data entry for updating and maintaining financial records

Experience:
-Three plus years of credit and collections experience

-Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes and procedures

-Knowledge of standard accounting practices

-Strong verbal and written communication skills

-Excellent people skills, attention to detail and organizational skills

-Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

-Ability to manage time-sensitive initiatives and collaborate well with others

-Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

-Experience with an apparel ERP system a plus

-Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively

-Business or accounting-related degree a plus
