Dawn Staffing USA is Hiring a QA Manager Near Oak, WI

One of our Clients is looking for a QA manager for a food production unit in Oak Creek, Wisconsin

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Oversee and evaluate the efficacy of food safety and quality policies/programs (such as SQF, FDA regulations, and Food Safety and Quality standards).
  • Organize the creation and delivery of training initiatives focused on quality and food safety for plant personnel and management.
  • Provide guidance and take appropriate measures with regard to quality and food safety in collaboration with plant management and staff.
  • Perform risk assessments related to food quality in instances of food safety incidents (Class 1, 2, or 3).
  • Establish, execute, and manage protocols to address and resolve incidents or trends affecting product quality.
  • Offer expertise to plant management concerning current good manufacturing practices (cGMPs), sanitation practices, and sanitary design.
  • Examine and respond to operational data from the production floor and quality assurance product tests. Utilize statistical methods to optimize processes.
  • Collaborate with plant management and associates to review and interpret ongoing cost of quality metrics.
  • Lead audits on food safety by external regulators or customers. Coordinate the necessary corrective actions for identified deficiencies.
  • Ensure continuity in food safety and quality responsibilities through delegation to the QA Supervisor/HACCP Coordinator in times of absence.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:

  • Job experience in quality and food safety systems
  • Statistical process control, corrective action and continuous process improvement experience
  • Cost of quality analysis experience
  • Specifications, calibration and process capability experience
  • Total quality management knowledge
  • Planning and designing quality projects and procedures experience
  • Implementation of quality initiative experience

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • 10-15 years in a related role within a high-speed food or CPG manufacturing environment
  • BS in Food Science or related field
  • Project management training
  • Strong background in, and certification as, SQF Practitioner, PCQI, FDA, HACCP, and Certified Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • Global food safety certification(s) or related exposure to BRC / other global certification boards.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
