Job Summary:

Davisson Millwork is looking for an inside / outside millwork sales specialist to join our team. Davisson Millwork is a locally owned company serving the Greater Iowa City area for the last 15 years. Our small but mighty team is known for delivering quality products, excellent customer service and attention to detail on every job, big & small.

The primary responsibilities are to promote and sell millwork materials to existing and prospective contractor's and homeowners. As well as managing and coordinating with vendors and delivery staff to deliver an excellent product and positive customer experience.

Daily Job Duties Include:

• Develop, maintain and grow relationships with local builders, area contractors, homeowners and millwork vendors.
• Create blueprint takeoffs, estimates for clients, bids, quotes and orders.
• Provide timely & accurate priced quotes to customers that maintain profitability set by management.
• Performs job-site visits to ensure delivery and timely completion on new, remodel residential & commercial projects
• Communicate and place orders with millwork vendors and follow up with technical issues.
• Collaborate with the delivery team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders
• Manage warehouse needs and delegate to delivery team expectations of all deliveries both inbound and outbound.
• Assist as needed loading & unloading materials
• Maintain and order current inventory of in-stock products
• Meet with builders and/or home owners to assist in product selection
• Help maintain an organized & clean work environment
• Attends activities and functions as a representative of the company.
• Provide customers with knowledgeable, courteous, and prompt service at all times.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Experience in sales in the building/construction industry is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of the construction industry and local building is a plus.
• Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales.
• Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills.
• Detail oriented, efficient time management and organizational skills
• Willingness to learn, openness to feedback and ability to share new ideas and approaches
• Current driver’s license and good driving record required
• Must be able to repeatedly lift 50 lbs daily.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
