DBH is seeking a full-time Adult Recovery Support Specialist/Case Manager to join the Recovery Supports team, part of the extensive services provided by the Adult Substance Abuse team at DBH. The goal of the Recovery Support Program is to engage clients in a meaningful lifestyle of recovery by helping to clear and illuminate the path to recovery while offering hope.
The Recovery Support Specialist works to achieve the program goals through four primary means:
The Adult Recovery Support Specialist/Case Manager is an entry level peer certified provider who offers recovery supportive services, targeted case management, and skills development services to adults who are experiencing substance use issues and mental health problems. The RSS assists clients in effectively utilizing available community resources that will support and maintain independent recovery. Services may be provided in the home, office, and community settings.
This position is classified as full-time, non-exempt. The selected applicant will work with the supervisor to determine a regular work schedule but will be with the following conditions: Up to three evenings is required of each peer worker during weekdays, possible weekend assignments, and occasional work to support recovery activities on the weekend. Program hours are worked between 8 am and 11 pm each day of the week.
DBH reserves the right to require overtime, weekend work, and/or assignment to evening or night shifts, depending upon operational need, some in and out of state travel may be required. Occasional weekend work may also be required, specifically related to recovery support activities.

DBH Criminal Background Check & Drug Screening Disclaimer
Davis Behavioral Health is a drug-free workplace and requires all employees to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening. DBH will not hire individuals currently using illegal drugs or abusing alcohol; therefore, making employment at DBH conditional upon successfully passing pre-employment drug screening by providing a valid sample. Candidates who are offered employment are required to report for a drug screen at an Intermountain WorkMed location within 24 hours of being requested to do so by the DBH Human Resources Department.
Davis Behavioral Health works with Federal grants and must comply with the Federal drug laws, including no use of medical marijuana.
Further, all employees at DBH must successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check as part of DBH's licensing agreement with the State of Utah. Failure to pass either screening will result in the termination of any job offer submitted and/or employment for any individual who has started employment while the criminal background screening is in process. Pending and/or open charges will likely impact a candidate's ability to pass the pre-employment criminal background screening.
