Job Overview

Davies US is looking for an experienced Head of Marketing & Communications tofocus on the development and execution of marketing the services and solutions provided to the North American market. Reporting to the Group Communications Director, you will oversee all marketing, communications, social media, and brand initiatives in North America. The team collaborates cross-functionally across the globe to ensure our messaging aligns as we continue our ambitious global expansion.

To be successful in this role, you need to be a seasoned leader who can develop and grow the team and thrive at the instruction of big-picture strategy and supporting the team on detail-oriented execution. You must have at least 5 years of experience in similar role managing a team, prior insurance sector experience, a deep understanding of content marketing strategies including content creation, distribution, and engagement tactics and be proficient in crafting compelling and relevant content that resonates with target audiences. Additionally, you will need to exhibit excellent leadership and team management skills while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment, have an analytical mindset to derive insights from marketing data and make data driven decision, and be able to maintain a high level of attention to detail, accuracy, and a can-do attitude while managing multiple projects in a fast paced, dynamic environment. This role is a full-time, hybrid position that will requires being in located in Nashville, TN or surrounding areas and a willingness to travel up to 10% annually for U.S. events


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develop effective marketing strategies to support business goals while working closely with, and across multiple organizational business units to ensure marketing planning meets unique business goals by service
  • Expertly orchestrate multi-channel marketing campaigns that span digital and traditional channels to reach and engage new prospects
  • Manage marketing budgets efficiently, allocate resources strategically, and demonstrate a clear return on investment for marketing activities
  • Drive lead generation efforts through various channels, such as content marketing, email campaigns, social media, SEO/SEM, events, webinars, and partnerships
  • Foster strong collaboration and engagement with the North American leadership team to ensure alignment with our strategic priorities through participation in weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc meetings
  • Develop and oversee reporting and analysis of North American marketing channels
  • Lead and develop a seven-person marketing team
  • Integrate and rebrand businesses that have been acquired by the organization in North American

Experience and Qualifications

Required

  • 5 years of experience in a similar leadership role
  • Experience within the insurance sector
  • A deep understanding of content marketing strategies, including content creation, distribution, and engagement tactics
  • Proficient in crafting compelling and relevant content that resonates with target audiences
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to derive insights from marketing data and make data-driven decisions
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy while possessing the ability to problem solve while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment is essential
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment, must have experience managing a team
  • Can-do attitude with ability to manage through a rapidly changing environment
  • Willing to travel across the U.S. for events throughout the year (approximately up to 10%)

Position Type, Work Environment and Physical Demands

This is a hybrid, full time, salaried, exempt position that predominantly operates remotely from a professional home-based office environment with an occasional need to be in the office and will routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, photocopiers, and scanners and requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk while working on a computer. While performing the duties of this job, the individual will be required to regularly hear and talk. This is a largely sedentary role requiring the ability to sit at a desk, reach outward, use a phone, have use of fingers to operate office equipment such as a keyboard, mouse, phone, printer, copier, and to reach above the head, bend, or stand as necessary.
