Hotel Viking located in beautiful downtown Newport Rhode Island is currently hiring for a Server on the Top of Newport. The hours for this position would be 11am to 7 or 2pm to 10pm,for full time. This will be during our busy season months May thru October. Join our team as a Top of Newport Server and be part of our vibrant culinary scene. As a a Top of Newport Server, you will create memorable moments for our guests by delivering top-notch service and showcasing your knowledge of our delicious menu offerings.

Responsibilities:

• Serve food and beverages in a timely and professional manner, ensuring presentation and quality meet our high standards.
• Anticipate guest needs and provide personalized service to enhance their dining experience.
• Clear tables and maintain a clean and organized dining area.
• Process guest payments and handle cash transactions accurately.

• Food/Beverage Service Worker Permit, where applicable
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Six months to one year serving experience preferred
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Read, write and speak English fluently
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
• Knowledge of food and beverage service standards
• Ability to stand for long periods of time 
• Meet minimum age requirement of jurisdiction
