Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Insurance Coordinator to join our team. The Insurance Coordinator will be responsible for managing insurance claims and ensuring accurate billing and reimbursement processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical coding, knowledge of insurance policies and procedures, and excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities:
- Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients
- Process insurance claims accurately and in a timely manner
- Review and update patient information in the electronic medical records system
- Communicate with insurance companies to resolve claim issues or denials
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure proper documentation for billing purposes
- Stay up-to-date with changes in insurance regulations, coding guidelines, and reimbursement procedures
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients regarding insurance inquiries

Experience:
- Previous experience working in a medical office or dental office setting preferred
- Proficient in medical coding systems such as ICD-9 and ICD-10
- Familiarity with managed care plans and insurance billing processes
- Knowledge of medical records management and documentation requirements
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Note: All positions must be paid, including internship positions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $21.57 per hour

Experience:

• Insurance verification: 1 year (Preferred)
