About us

David Kennedy & Associates is a small business in Gainesville, GA. We are professional, agile and our goal is to zealously represent immigrants in their immigration processes. Associates will work with legal assistants while creating individualized case plans. In addition, associates will appear for Immigration Court hearings and interviews at the USCIS field office. Our attorneys represent a vulnerable population, so we require patience and diligence from our attorneys. Spanish fluency is highly preferred, but we will consider associates who are willing to learn Spanish. Qualified applicants must be adept at researching and thinking creatively, and they must work well with others on complex, multi-stage projects. .

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with case management, legal research, drafting legal documents, and providing support in various legal matters. **Duties:** - Conduct legal research using tools such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw - Draft legal documents including briefs, pleadings, contracts, and agreements - Assist in preparing cases for litigation and trials - Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and client representation - Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients - Attend court hearings and depositions as required **Requirements:** - Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school - Admission to the state bar association where practicing - Strong legal research skills using Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw - Proficiency in legal drafting and writing - Ability to effectively communicate and negotiate with clients, opposing counsels, and judges - Prior experience in legal administrative tasks is a plus - Ability to work independently and as part of a team This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse legal cases, develop litigation skills, and contribute to the success of our clients.
