Position: Director of Construction
Outline:
The Director of Construction is a building guru with the ability to lead a new and growing team and oversee all production operations for residential community building across Western New York. The Director of Construction is an agile problem-solver who maximizes the strengths of their team. This individual is an expert on all things dirt, bricks and sticks.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day construction operations across all David Homes communities
- Organize and manage the construction of public and private infrastructure installation and dedication
- Conduct all bidding and estimating functions for new homes, community infrastructure and off-site lot improvements
- Manage a team of construction administrators, construction managers and construction technicians
- Integrate with David Homes sales team and finance team for the purpose of establishing price and cost guidelines
- Manage portfolio model home budgets and production cycles
- Continually evaluate and identify opportunities for new product selections, material specifications, and developing industry trends
- Serve as relationship liaison with all David Homes trade partners
- Enforce all compliance and safety requirements for David Homes and its network of trade partners
- Maintain Even Flow production cycle and orchestrate the global production flow to optimize trade partner utility

- Self-starting attitude with ability to flourish independently
- Confidence in dealing with customers
- Construction experience required
- Ability to adapt to fast-changing and dynamic workplace environments
Compensation:
David Homes offers competitive compensation packages commensurate with experience and qualifications. An approximate range is included herein.
