Our Denver, CO office is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a Transportation Intern position to support our team while working on transportation related projects. The successful candidate will work on multidiscipline projects performing independent engineering calculations and design, using specialized technical skills, experience and engineering judgment to transform concept designs into construction drawings and technical specifications. The work may include freeway, highway and roadway design, signing and pavement marking plans, traffic signal plans, street improvements, utility plans, traffic control plans, storm water, technical writing, quantity calculations, construction documents, and all supporting documentation. 

Other duties/learning opportunities include:

• Coordinate projects with supervisor, project managers, and firm staff.
• Support design and preparation of plans in AutoCAD, Mircostation, and InRoads software.
• Analyze maps, reports, drawings and as-builts for design projects.
• Support preparation of reports, specifications and designs for projects.

Basic Qualifications:

• Applicants must be in the pursuit of an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering, with at least 2 years of completed course work and scheduled to graduate on or before Spring 2022
• Microsoft Office (Excel and word), Microstation, AutoCAD, and InRoads skills are recommended
• Applicant must have a valid driver’s license and clear motor vehicle report
• Ability to communicate and work in a team oriented environment
