Civil Project Manager - Building Excellence with Integrity and Passion

David Nice Builders, a leading construction firm, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Project Manager to join our team. As a Civil Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of our site/civil projects, in line with our mission to deliver construction art at its finest through integrity, lasting relationships, and passionate people.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of contract production, change orders, submittals, procurement, and scheduling for site/civil projects, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, drawings, specifications, and company procedures.
• Supervise site personnel, including Project Management Assistant (PMA) and others, to ensure efficient and timely completion of projects.
• Actively participate in pre-construction activities, including estimating and offering insights on potential projects.
• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with counterparts at client and engineering firms, and ensure our projects meet clients' objectives.
• Monitor, prepare, and submit budget estimates for any changes to the project, as well as cost/progress tracking reports to management.
• Provide effective assistance and support in resolving issues concerning the project or site personnel.
• Ensure that all safety, state, and local procedures are followed on site, and maintain a strong focus on safety and compliance.
• Manage project closeout, including the closeout of spreadsheets company-wide, to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Assist with the review and facilitation of payments to subcontractors, suppliers, and billings to the client.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, or a related field
• 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in the construction industry
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Familiarity with construction contracts, drawings, and specifications
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations and requirements
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
