What you’ll do:

· Manage assigned projects portfolio from utility client.

· Manage and monitor contractor performance against scope of work adhere to schedule.

· Work with contractors to provide resolution for change orders and other project issues that may arise.

· Maintain communication with area management. Advise client leadership about the project status, budget, and resource planning.

· Establish positive relationships with customer organizations.

· Responsible for the development, tracking, and execution of scope, schedule, cost, quality, communication, resources, issues, risks, change control and contractor management plans.

· Responsible for all project management activities for assigned portfolio throughout the project life cycle.

· Oversee day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.

· Proactively identify risk and mitigation plans, monitor project status, recognize negative trends and project variances, and coordinate corrective action.

· Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.

· Oversee project budget.

· Track costs, variances, and take corrective actions.

What you’ll need:

· Experience in Project Management and is able to lead in the coaching and mentoring of team members to help them achieve individual expectations and deliverables.

· Demonstrated ability to adapt to and lead change, and coach others in the acceptance and support of change.

· Degree in Business, Engineering or related discipline. In lieu of degree 5 years in a project/contract management position.

· General knowledge in project management, contract management, and/or construction management responsibilities.

· Knowledge of scheduling, budgeting, cost control, project reporting, and risk assessment

· General understanding of electric utilities equipment.

· Strong written, oral, presentation and organizational skills.

· Preferred: Project management (PMP) certification by a recognized organization such as the Project Management Institute.
