Must be able to build relationships with students with a variety of social, behavioral, and academic needs.
Must be willing to be trained in Edgenuity
Must be willing to teach Academic Foundations
Must be willing to be trained in Check and Connect
Must be willing to be trained in CPI
Must being willing to work with other building personal to provide appropriated supports to program students
Assist in program students with goal setting for short – and long – term success in the classroom and beyond
Act as Liaison for Probation officers, parents, WYC staff, and other involved agencies
Along with co-teacher make a weekly email contacts with students’ PO
Attend as the general education teacher any IEP’s scheduled for your students
Along with co-teacher keep all records of behavior incidents and grades in IC
Be willing to follow a specific behavior mod program for each student including the daily use of point sheets, a rewards system ect.
Successful candidate must possess strong inter-personal skills with a proven record of building rapport with culturally diverse students to ensure each child reaches his/her full potential.
Good attendance and punctuality are a must to ensure that the duties and responsibilities of the job are performed successfully.

Physical Requirements of Position:(HBV ? Yes ? No) ? Able to lift 50lbs ? Excellent attendance is mandatory for this position Special Qualification Desired:(Personal Qualities, Education, Skills Needed, Experience, Etc.)
Experience working with at-rick high school youth preferred
BA in related field preferred
Possesses the ability to work effectively in small or larger teams and independently
Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficient with technology skills necessary to complete job duties including data entry on state website, outlook, Microsoft Word products
Possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse student population
Willing to work in a locked facility with students who need a firm hand along with care and guidance
Willing to work in a locked facility with a small staff consisting of 2 teachers, 2 paras, and security
This program consists of a max (10) 7-12 students. You will likely have a maximum of 5 students at a time
