Davenport Community Schools is Hiring a Family Consumer Science Teacher Near Davenport, IA
- Ability to teach Family Consumer Science curriculum.
- Possess competence in computer and technology skills.
- Communicate with parents as appropriate and on a consistent basis.
- Supervision and other duties as assigned.
- Positive feeling about ALL students
- Flexibility in meeting the needs of students and the school
- Recognition of the need for confidentiality with respect to students and parents rights and privacy as well as confidentiality of all conversation and hard copy information
- Ability to meet and interact positively with the public
- Willingness to work with technology as it relates to students and building needs
- Cooperate with and participate in building-based initiatives
- Serve on one or more building committees
- Successful candidate must possess strong inter-personal skills with a proven record of building rapport with culturally diverse students to ensure each child reaches his/her full potential.
- Good attendance and punctuality are a must to ensure that the duties and responsibilities of the job are performed successfully.
- Endorsement Required: [389] or [363]
- Must be able to stand for a period of time
- Must be able to walk up and down stairs
- Must be able to lift/push/pull 50 lbs.
- Experience with the 4 Block schedule
- Willingness to accept supervisory duties that are conducive to a positive building environment.
