Dauphin County is Hiring a QUALITY ASSURANCE RECORDS SPECIALIST Near Harrisburg, PA

This is a merit hire position. The starting pay rate for this position is $20.98. Dauphin County Area Agency on Aging is currently accepting applications for the full-time, day shift position of Quality Assurance Records Specialist. This is a professional social service casework and case management position within the Quality Assurance Unit of Area Agency on Aging. An employee in this position reviews casework to ensure compliance with applicable law, regulations, department policies, and other authoritative sources and reports the findings to the Quality Assurance Unit and the AAA management team and Human Services Director. The Quality Assurance Records Specialist is supervised by the Director of Human Services Initiatives. 

In addition to conducting comprehensive case record reviews, the Quality Assurance Records Specialist explains case record review reports and ensures corrections are completed in accordance with established timeframes. The employee handles confidential information, prepares reports/special projects, and performs other duties as directed by the Director of Human Services Initiatives. This is a non-union position.

Minimum Education, Experience, and Training Requirements:

Two years of social casework management experience which included the maintenance of client case files; or an equivalent combination of experience and training and a High School diploma or equivalent. 

Clarification of Requirements

“Social casework management experience” includes experience as a CYS Caseworker 2, MH/ID Caseworker 2, AAA Aging Care Manager 2, Drug and Alcohol Case Management Specialist, or any other similar experience which included responsibility for the care, custody, and control of information pertaining to individual cases and files associated with clients engaged with the various human service departments.

Other Requirements:

At the time of hire, a valid driver’s license and positive driving record, a favorable criminal background check, child abuse and FBI clearances, as well as favorable references are required. The applicant must provide proof of a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license within 60 days from the date of hire. An alternative form of identification will be accepted if you are not eligible to receive a Pennsylvania driver’s license under 67 PA. Code § 83 and driving is not an essential function of the position.
