Primary responsibilities:

• Reports to Vehicle Electronics Supervisor
• Install/troubleshoot 12 volt and 24-volt electronics (cameras, GPS tracking, telematics, 2-way radios) on DATTCO and/or customer vehicles
• Accurately record and report information regarding installs/repairs
• Owns and maintains the proper hand tools to perform job functions
• Position may require flexible shifts (weekends, overtime, and/or overnight)
• Position may require travel
• Responsible for ordering and controlling inventory levels

Minimum requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must hold a valid RI driver’s license
• Previous 12v/24v installation and service experience
• Moderate to advanced knowledge of vehicle electronics concepts such as GPS, relays and video systems
• School bus/coach bus experience preferred
• Availability to work weekends/overnights/overtime as required
• Able to travel to DATTCO locations in Rhode Island as well as to our headquarters in New Britain, CT
• Technician will be required to supply their own tools for this position
• Must possess the physical strength and conditioning to safely perform all required tasks
• Must possess excellent computer skills
• Must be able to work in a team environment
• Must be a self-starter
• Be able to pass a background check and drug test
