Datavant is a data logistics company for healthcare whose products and solutions enable organizations to move and connect data securely. We are a data logistics company for healthcare whose products and solutions enable organizations to move and connect data securely. Datavant has a network of networks consisting of thousands of organizations, more than 70,000 hospitals and clinics, 70% of the 100 largest health systems, and an ecosystem of 500 real-world data partners.

By joining Datavant today, you're stepping onto a highly collaborative, remote-first team that is passionate about creating transformative change in healthcare. We hire for three traits: we want people who are smart, nice, and get things done. We invest in our people and believe in hiring for high-potential and humble individuals who can rapidly grow their responsibilities as the company scales. Datavant is a distributed, remote-first team, and we empower Datavanters to shape their working environment in a way that suits their needs.

Datavant is currently at an exciting inflection point as a company. We are approximately two years post our merger, and we are gaining meaningful traction in converting our network to digital retrieval methods. Additionally, New Mountain Capital and a number of other investors have provided Datavant with an additional investment to fuel our future growth.

The mission of the Acceleration Pod is to be a surge of horsepower to help us grow our business as fast as possible. The Strategic Business Operations Accelerator will work to eliminate barriers, incubate growth experiences, and determine successful targets for inorganic growth.

You will:

  • Pursue discrete special projects. Lead special projects that do not have a natural home in the organization today, building cross-functional teams to help tackle the project.
  • Support our inorganic growth. Assist in the mergers and acquisitions process from start to finish, namely through creating a capability map to determine current gaps, sourcing and prioritizing targets, and conducting due diligence of potential targets.
  • Aid in post-acquisition integration as necessary. As integration post acquisition is essential to realizing the value of our investments, you will ensure successful integration of newly acquired technology and teams as necessary.
  • Incubate organic growth opportunities. Fuel our future growth by initiating and growing internal opportunities, such as creating and implementing new go-to-market models, mapping out value propositions, and exploring new use cases.
  • Unblock teams and projects within the organization to accelerate growth. Assist teams throughout the organization to provide an "extra set of hands" on important initiatives that need to succeed.
  • Data Analysis and Insights. Utilize data analytics to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks, providing data-driven insights to guide decision-making in special projects and growth initiatives.
  • Risk Management. Assess and manage risks associated with special projects, mergers and acquisitions, and organic growth initiatives, developing risk mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Resource Allocation. Collaborate with finance teams to develop budgets for special projects and growth initiatives, ensuring optimal resource allocation for successful execution.

What you bring to the table:

  • Detail-Oriented: Dedicated to pushing projects to completion and finding win-win solutions for all parties involved, never letting things fall through the cracks.
  • Strategic Thinker: Hungry to understand the business as a whole, allowing you to have a strategic eye as you drive cross-functional projects forward.
  • Comfortable in Ambiguity: Always looking for ways to break down big charters and challenges into actionable next steps.
  • Strong communicator: Able to explain complex concepts through conversation, presentation, and written communication.
  • Continuous Learner: Not afraid of what you don't know, willing to dive into a new subject and eager to learn.
  • Driven: Ability to push yourself and others to complete projects to fuel our growth.
  • Natural leader: Able to bring others along in the pod's journey of accelerating our growth.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • MBA preferred, including coursework in finance, accounting or business management.
  • Proven experience in leading special projects and managing cross-functional teams.
  • Background in mergers and acquisitions, including capability mapping, target prioritization, and due diligence.
  • Demonstrated success in post-acquisition integration.
  • Experience in incubating organic growth opportunities within a corporate setting.
