DataStaff, Inc is in need of a GIS Technical Specialist for a long-term contract opportunity for one of our direct clients in the Raleigh, NC area.
*The selected candidate will be allowed to work remotely for the duration of the engagement
Responsibilities:

• Will be assigned to the GIS Unit to specifically provide advanced GIS focused Business Analysis and Project Management support to the GIS Unit's Technical Team.
• Support the Application Development, Spatial Database, Geospatial Services, Systems Engineering and Architecture teams.
• Coordinate the delivery of high-quality applications and services across several enterprise technical teams and to provide detailed schedule and resource information to the unit s Project Controls Analyst for the benefit of resource planning and scheduling.
• Gathering and documenting requirements for specific projects as well as tracking and guiding tasks on those projects and also assisting with managing project timelines.
• Assisting with the testing and troubleshooting of system issues, and facilitation of collaboration around the delivery of the software.
• Will use Microsoft DevOps on a daily basis in support of these efforts.

Required Skills:

• Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
• 5 Years - Microsoft DevOps or Similar
• 5 Years - Microsoft Visio or Similar
• 5 Years - Gathering and Documenting Requirements
• 5 Years - Running Daily Standup Meetings

Desired Skills:

• 5 Years - Esri Software Suite (Enterprise, Desktop, Pro)
