Datadog's Cloud SIEM team is responsible for implementing the Detection Engine that enables Security Engineers to detect threats and attacks in Real Time. The Cloud SIEM systems process terabytes of data every second with low latency to notify Security teams of abnormal behavior. As the usage of the Cloud SIEM product grows, we are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a newly created team focusing on Entities (Cloud users, Cloud resources, etc.) whose goal is to determine and analyze their specific risks, while providing additional ways for Security Engineers to investigate them and respond in case of attacks. To do so, we are putting in place a new Graph Database that will provide Security Engineers with insights and an easy to investigate specific Entities (What actions did this user perform? What resources can they access? etc.)

What You'll Do:

• Lead and mentor a team of Backend and Frontend engineers responsible for the development of systems analyzing risk and behavior of Cloud Users and Cloud Resources
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Product Designers to define priorities and roadmap of your team
• Be technically involved with the team - hands-on coding for small features, reviewing and aligning architecture decisions or RFCs to make sure the team is making sound decisions and good processes are in place
• Provide regular feedback coaching and growth opportunities to Engineers
• Help the team plan its work to execute on the quarterly goals
• Collaborate with other teams to align the team's roadmap with Datadog's overall strategic goals

Who You Are:

• You have a BS/MS/PhD in a Computer Science, Engineering or related scientific field or equivalent professional experience
• You have experience in leading Engineering teams, and are passionate about People Management and the growth of your team members
• You are adept at developing and operating large-scale distributed systems, with a strong understanding of API development and Event Driven architectures
• You are passionate about and experienced with highly-available and highly-reliable systems
• You are skilled in a cross-functional environment and have experience collaborating with Product Managers and Product Designers, along with other Engineering teams.
• You are a strategic thinker with a track record of translating complex technical concepts into actionable plans.
