We are looking for a Senior Performance Test Engineer for our Infinia Storage engineering team who will architect, define, and build the performance test strategy and tests for Infinia software storage solution.

Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

Performs stress, load, regression, and performance testing to validate production readiness of software applications and infrastructure for stability and performance.
• Design, develop, and execute performance test cases and scripts through analysis of product specifications and software requirements.
• Utilizing load, stress, and analysis tools to model performance scenarios, perform initial analysis using performance monitoring tool and identify potential system and resources bottlenecks.
• Collects, analyzes, and reports performance testing results to the project, program, and business stakeholders.
• Implement and monitor test scripts to assess functionality, reliability, performance, and quality of the service or product.
• Evaluate, Design, and implement an automation framework that supports reporting of the current performance compared to previous performance runs.
• Assist fellow team members & guide them in case of issues found during testing.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 7 years of experience in software performance testing within the storage industry or related field.
• Minimum of BS or MS; computer engineering, computer science or related technical field.
• Demonstrated experience in performance, load/scale testing using JMeter/LoadRunner or equivalent tool.
• I/O benchmarking tools and profiling applications with intensive I/O patterns
• Experience in analyzing reports for Performance bottlenecks.
• Proficient with Grafana for visualizing data/metrics, and with InfluxDB for storage and retrieval of time series data analytics.
• Experience working with HPC storage clusters testing at scale.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Deep technical ability in performance testing methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills.

The ideal candidate has knowledge of and experience in some of the following subjects:

• Experienced with container-based solutions using Kubernetes to orchestrate the deployment, scaling and management of Docker micro services.
• Knowledge of parallel file system solutions (Lustre, GPFS), NVM storage technology or distributed key-value storage systems
• Knowledge of Object Storage and its usage
