The ideal candidate for our Network Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing the operational state of our organization's network platforms. This includes 70 data centers across 29 markets in the US and EMEA. This individual will work directly with the network engineering teams as well as Colocation Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Service Delivery, Product, Telecom and local data center teams to deploy and maintain our network services. The individual should have experience deploying large scale networks across a broad data center footprint. They will be responsible for managing deployments to meet DataBank standards for space power and connectivity. This person will provide subject matter expertise in their area of responsibility across the business and mentor junior engineering staff to increase team effectiveness. The individual should have a team first mentality and work well cross functionally in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the deployment of network infrastructure to support new site deployments, capacity augments and migration initiatives.
• Maintain rack elevation and connectivity drawings for as-built reference documentation.
• Design of fiber and conduit requirements to support network deployments and data center new site builds.
• Capacity management of network infrastructure (cage, rack, power and fiber).
• Asset management of Network devices and maintaining data integrity.
• Quality control assurance of deployed network platforms and connectivity.
• Develop standards and documentation associated with network design physical architectures.
• Identifying potential issues and proactively implementing solutions.
• Collaborating with senior management and other IT staff to meet company goals.
• Ensuring the proper functioning and efficiency of network connections.
• Coordinating with network vendors to ensure communication efficiency.

Qualifications:

• 5-8 years’ experience with deploying large scale networks into colocation facilities.
• Experience with space, power and connectivity design and implementation.
• Knowledge of data center and campus fiber, conduit, vault, MMR and PoE design.
• Strong project management experience with budgeting, stakeholder coordination, task assignment and tracking to deliver critical timelines.
• Excellent customer service and people skills, including excellent written/verbal communications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of troubleshooting techniques and change management execution.
• Exhibits mature organizational and time management skills.
• Experience with high availability global environment with 99.999% SLA.
• Accomplishes task with minimal supervision.
