DATA TECH is Hiring an Overnight NOC Support Analyst Near Tampa, FL

Position Summary:

Join our Network Operations Center (NOC) team as a NOC Support Analyst. In this critical role, you are tasked with ensuring the stability and efficiency of our clients' IT environments. Your responsibilities include rigorous monitoring, precise incident documentation, and effective troubleshooting. As a key player in our team, you are expected to perform detailed root cause analysis, document findings meticulously, and manage troubleshooting processes with precision. This position is well-suited for individuals who excel in fast-paced environments, demonstrate excellent organizational skills, and have a strong ability to manage multiple priorities.

SCHEDULE: SUNDAY-THURSDAY 10PM-6AM (last shift from Thurs 10pm-Fri 6am)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first responder to network and system alerts, identifying the severity and impact of incidents.
  • Detect, identify, and respond to anomalies and performance issues to prevent downtime.
  • Classify, record, and manage incidents according to priority and impact, and follow up with detailed reports for each incident.
  • Proactively monitor client networks, servers, and applications using advanced tools to identify and assess alerts.
  • Prioritize and manage incident tickets efficiently, maintaining clear and timely communication with internal teams.
  • Conduct thorough initial troubleshooting, verify the legitimacy of alerts, and escalate complex issues to Level 2 NOC Support Technicians.
  • Engage in detailed troubleshooting to diagnose issues across various technologies and platforms.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to implement fixes and solutions, ensuring minimal impact on operations.
  • Perform root cause analysis for significant incidents to prevent future occurrences.
  • Suggest improvements in systems and processes based on findings from analysis.
  • Keep accurate records of all monitoring events, incidents, and actions taken.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge base and contribute to internal knowledge-sharing platforms.
  • Actively contribute to the enhancement of monitoring systems by providing critical feedback on triggers and thresholds.
  • Analyze current alerts to develop strategies that minimize future occurrences.
  • Maintain detailed and comprehensive documentation of all incidents, including actions taken and outcomes, to foster continuous improvement.
  • Assist in routine system checks and participate in maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance of client infrastructures under the guidance of experienced technicians.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of both U.S.-based resources and international engineers to deliver top-notch service.
  • Pursue professional development opportunities to enhance both technical skills and industry knowledge.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Must possess the mobility to work in a standard office setting (on site or off), and to use standard office equipment, including a computer, concentration to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, strength to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person and/ or over the telephone. Must be able to sit/stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to drive a motorized vehicle.
