We’re seeking a self-starter with marketing sales experience and sales and lead generator skills. As Data Driven Marketers’ (DDM) Independent sales contractor, you’ll be an integral part of . We’re looking for an independent sales contractor who has a history of driving connections between clients and service providers and has an ability to see projects from a high-level sales and lead generator perspective. This role needs someone who is highly motivated, energetic, and knows how to build a sales funnel through genuine connection and conscientiousness. Does that sound like you? Role and responsibilitiesSales department team member

  • Be the lead generator
  • Research and understand DDM’s target markets
  • Develop and manage a qualified sales pipeline of prospective new clients to share with business development manager/CEO for follow up
  • Study and maintain current sales presentations, case studies, proposals, and scripts to meet the needs of potential clients.
  • Understand and utilize data analytics reports of previous and active clients, combining your experience and wisdom to effectively communicate our services and meet the needs of potential clients.
  • Understand and utilize our ClickUp CRM and external software for generating leads, tracking sales, using clear and precise notes with sentence structures and correct spelling, contact names, numbers and websites for easy internal collaboration and handoffs
  • Provide insight and recommendations on key market competitors and highlight the ways in which DDM is different and elevated
  • Contact potential clients in an effort to vet leads by phone and email and schedule appointments (outbound sales)
  • Contact stalled and inactive clients in an effort to re-engage their business and close a new agreement (inbound sales)

Leadership collaborator

  • Attend regularly scheduled leadership sales discussions with our business development manager/CEO (remote and in-person as needed)
  • Support the business development manager/CEO by ensuring seamless communication both verbally and in writing during client hand-offs
  • Ensure all information collected from client interaction is accurate and passed to business development manager/CEO
  • Review SOWs and discuss areas of improvement ensuring we are offering our talents and services in an appealing manner
  • Create SOWs as requested throughout the sales process
  • Regularly discuss ways to improve DDM’s Master Services Agreement, Statements of Work, and pricing presentations
  • Regularly discuss ways to improve department collaboration and grow company sales, performance, and brand image
  • Navigate comfortably through remote workspace tools and software and apply best practices and efficient use of software to support clients and sales
  • Study DDM ethos in order to echo the heart of the company as it translates to clients

Client success champion

  • Impeccable listening skills are apparent in the way you interact with clients. There is no interruption and you don’t gloss over important information hidden in a client’s story
  • Work to understand prospective clients needs before reaching out to ensure a warm reception. Make it obvious you care about their company
  • Know who runs the company of the clients you call as well as the key decision makers related to marketing sales agreements
  • Take time to view client websites to show you noticed their company culture and vibe when first reaching out to clients
  • Show clients you are curious about their goals and needs rather than jump to a sales pitch
  • Understand client needs quickly and be able to personalize sales pitch to meet clients where they are, rather than being robotic or rushing to get to a pitch

Qualifications

  • 4–5 years of experience in a client-facing role
  • 2–3 years of experience in a sales role
  • A fundamental understanding of marketing data with a desire to learn how to use and explain data
  • Proven sales and lead generation success including managing several clients and leads simultaneously
  • An understanding of key digital marketing metrics that can increase engagement, sales, and general website traffic
  • Proficiency working in ClickUp or project management systems similar to ClickUp (Asana, Monday, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace
  • Ability to provide two professional (at least one from previous sales environment where you worked) and one personal reference
  • Consent to let us conduct a reference check
  • Able to thrive in an independent environment while having a passion for sales and interacting with people
  • A dedicated space at home to work, reliable computer and video camera (for sales and DDM remote calls and meetings), and internet service

  • Openness to accepting clear direction and feedback from DDM and following DDM guidelines
