Receiving Associate

Salary Range: $20.00-$21.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Darwin’s Natural Pet Products has a new full-time opportunity as a Receiving Associate. The receiving team has two main focuses: 1) to maintain the shipping and receiving process efficiently and accurately for all of Darwin’s needs, and 2) provide the production team with all necessary materials to successfully meet daily production goals.

Darwin’s Natural Pet Products makes high quality, premium raw dog and cat food and delivers it directly to pet owners around the U.S. Our growing business started 17 years ago and is a combination of both manufacturing and direct-to-consumer retailing with a strong online subscription focus. Essential duties & responsibilities:

  • Perform shipping, receiving and other warehouse tasks to ensure work meets quality standards and is performed according to established procedures and federal guidelines.
  • Work with department lead and supervisor to complete all daily responsibilities.
  • Inspect shipments upon arrival, document any indications of damage, verify quantities and quality.
  • Identify and pull items required to complete jobs. Verify product case counts and weights accurately.
  • Operate a standing forklift, pallet jack, and other equipment to safely move and store items.
  • Operate company box truck to transport items to and from storage facilities.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Performs basic administrative tasks using a computer and other office equipment.
  • Run microwaving equipment to stage raw product for production.
  • Other duties as assigned.

It’s a Plus to Have Experience, but Not Required:

  • Previous employment in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, preferably in the food industry.
  • Experience operating an electric pallet jack, standing forklift, and pressure washer.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Standing for long periods of time.
  • Lifting up to 60lbs consistently throughout shift.
  • Continuous exposure to humid and cold environments down to 37 degrees F.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, twist, and reach during shifts.

Available Shifts:

  • Tuesday – Saturday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
  • Sunday – Thursday, 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM

Salary Range: $20.00-$21.00 per hour, depending on experience.
