Job Description:

Position: CNC Operator
Location: Franklin Park, IL
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:

• Operate computer numerical control (CNC) machinery to fabricate door components according to provided specifications and design drawings.
• Set up and load raw materials such as wood, metal, or composite materials into CNC machines.
• Program CNC equipment based on job requirements, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the manufacturing process.
• Monitor machine operations to detect any deviations from specifications or malfunctions, and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance on CNC machinery, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or defective parts.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and comply with design specifications.
• Collaborate with other team members, including designers, engineers, and production staff, to optimize manufacturing processes and resolve any issues that may arise.
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times to prevent accidents or injuries in the workplace.
• Maintain detailed records of production activities, including machine settings, materials used, and production times.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification required; additional technical or vocational training in CNC machining preferred.
• Proven experience operating CNC machinery in a manufacturing or industrial setting, preferably within the woodworking or metalworking industry.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD/CAM files.
• Strong attention to detail and precision, with the ability to consistently produce high-quality work under tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with CNC programming languages such as G-code and M-code.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed to meet production targets and deadlines.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to all relevant occupational health and safety regulations.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
