Daras LLC is Hiring a Store Manager Near Manhattan, KS

Directly supervise Assistant Managers and Sales Associate Clerks in accordance with company policy and procedures. The Store Manager is responsible for the stores appearance and operation to ensure maximum store performance.

  • Administration and Management
  • Process required employee information and paperwork on a daily basis
  • Prepare work schedule and use of allocated hours available
  • Supervise employees in a fair and consistent manner in accordance with company policy
  • Ensure compliance with company policy of dress code, personal appearance, cleanliness and uniforms for themselves, assistant managers and store associate clerks
  • Promotes teamwork between staff members
  • Train assistant managers and store associate clerks (new and ongoing)
  • Delegates tasks to responsible employees by way of identifying the best people for the job
  • Conducts themselves in a professional manner, promoting Dara?s and its vision in the presence of other employees,
vendors and customers
  • Communication
  • Available for ?on-call? and have direct access to a telephone at all times
  • Relay information from other management to all store employees
  • Inform Management of significant events affecting the store and document such events by completing and filing appropriate reports in accordance with company policy
  • Keep all store and company information confidential
  • Accounting
  • Operate point of sale system (cash register) accurately and in accordance with company policy
  • Operate in store accounting and payroll software, ten-key and Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Prepare and assure bank deposits are made in accordance with company policy
  • Prepare and assure all accounting records (daily books, spreadsheet, etc) are completed accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with company policy
  • Assure all company internal controls: expenses, cash, inventory, product orders, equipment/supplies, tank inventories, lottery counts, cigarette counts
  • Merchandising
  • Orders merchandise while maintaining the proper gross margin
  • Ensure correct pricing is maintained; informing appropriate Management staff if discrepancies are found
  • Rotate merchandise, check for cleanliness and out-of-dates
  • Be aware and assist with all promotions; ensuring proper advertising material are displayed in a timely manner
  • Understand food operations (if applicable)
  • Customer Service
  • Ability to meet quality standards for service making sure each customer receives prompt and courteous service
  • Handle customer complaints in a professional manner
  • Security
  • Follow company policy at all times to ensure safety of self, employees and customers
  • Follow company policy at all times to ensure against loss of money or merchandise
  • Review security cameras as needed; report any incidents by completing and filing appropriate paperwork
  • Hours of Work
  • Store Managers are expected to work 44 hours per week. At a minimum store managers are required to be present in their store at least 4 hours on 5 out of 7 days per week.
  • Store Managers should schedule themselves so they are aware of conditions occurring on all shifts (hours and days could vary)
  • Store Managers will be required to work the cash register when needed to stay within their allotted hours per week.
  • Store Managers should work opposite or a different shift than the Assistant Manager (exceptions can apply)
  • Store Managers must be available and ?on-call? at all times, unless the Assistant Manager or other Management has been appointed.
  • Government Regulations
  • Assures understanding and compliance of all employees of Federal, State and Local regulations
