RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists in the day to day operations of the Crisis Services program; provides staff training and supervision, including selection, performance evaluations, and discipline of selected Crisis Services team nurses. Responsible for providing and overseeing direct nursing services to individuals at the Crisis Center such as conducting psychiatric assessments, assessing physical health needs, making appropriate referrals to community physicians, providing management and administration of medication in conjunction with the psychiatrist/nurse practitioner, conducts medication education, provides a range of treatment, rehabilitation, and support services, completes necessary documentation, and maintains shift-management responsibility with other staff. Works as part of the Crisis Services team to ensure services and resources are coordinated among providers as needed to help individuals served live and function optimally in the community. Assists in development of program and treatment protocols for the Crisis Center program.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Requirements
M1: Successful completion of educational requirements for a Registered Nurse with a valid RN license to practice in Virginia
M2: At least two years of experience working in behavioral health services
M3: Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
Fingerprints, State and FBI criminal record reports, drug test, and central registry (CANIS) report will be required upon request. Our Agency maintains a drug-free workplace.
ANNUAL SALARY RANGE
$63,706 - $111,486
$5000 Sign on Bonus
Shift Differential: $2.00 for 2nd shift; $3.00 for 3rd shift
