Job Title: Roustabout Deepwater GoM

Schedule: 14x14

Crew Change Location: Houma, Louisiana

Job Duties:

  • Assists in construction of equipment and facilities per directions given by roustabout foreman.
  • Performs preventative/predictive maintenance, reactive maintenance, major and minor repairs on equipment, reporting spills and leaks.
  • Performs general housekeeping.
  • Experience in the following: Production packs, 2 & 3 phase separators, reboilers, dehydration units, dump valves, air compressors, turbine meters, pumps, tanks, flowlines, and various other production equipment.
  • Working knowledge of construction work, repair, policies, and safe work practices
  • Capable of basic troubleshooting of production equipment. Also capable of repairing some equipment, such as tools and equipment needed to complete job tasks.
  • Duties and responsibilities may be added or changed at any time at the discretion of your supervisor, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.

 Competencies:

  • Computer knowledge - Proficient utilizing MS Windows environment
  • Strong initiative and self-starter
  • Demonstrate experience and knowledge with various building methods and elements and phases of construction project.
  • Possesses a working knowledge of the construction industry.
  • Understands how to implement construction best practices.
  • Technical Skills related to math and analytical thinking for construction and be skilled in their usage/application.
  • Ability to keep neat and accurate records.
  • Multi-task orientation with skills related to work prioritization.
  • Excellent Interpersonal Communications skills in a team environment including written reports, oral and email.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Understanding of Importance of environmental and Safe Work Practices

Qualifications:

  • 2 years of construction experience remote field work preferred.
  • Working knowledge of oil and gas production operations preferred but will train acceptable candidate.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as by self without direct supervision.
  • At least High School Grad or GED.
  • Some college or technical training preferred.
  • Ability to work overtime and holidays as needed and must be available for call outs as required.

 Physical Demands:

  • The company will provide reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities.
  • Utilize multi-limb coordination and flexibility combined with control precision to perform fine motor skills including finger manipulation, grasping, feeling, arm-hand steadiness, in order to push, pull or lift objects.
  • Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Work involves climbing at heights at or above six feet.
  • Utilizes multi-limb coordination to balance on even or uneven surfaces, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, stand, and walk, reach over shoulders or below the knees.
  • Auditory attention and hearing sensitivity is required, as candidates must possess the ability to distinguish various sounds that serve as key maintenance indicators.
  • Must employ the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the company’s Environmental, Health, and Safety policies.

Work Environment:

  • Full exposure to extreme weather changes and humidity/moisture relative to atmospheric condition variations. Includes exposure to extreme summer and winter temperatures, as well as rain, sleet, and snow.
  • Full exposure to dust, chemicals, gases, fumes, smoke, excessive noise, and/or vibrations.
  • Work generally performed in an industrial environment (indoor or outdoor) with various hazards and noise exposure.
  • Travel may be required for assignments, meetings, and training.
  • The job also requires availability for rotating on-call schedule, occasional unscheduled callouts and extended workdays and/or workweeks.
  • Overtime, Weekend and/or Holiday hours may be required.
