ABOUT THE JOB:

At Danone, Manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams. We are looking for a Quality Engineer for our yogurt manufacturing plant in West Jordan, Utah. 

In this role you will be responsible for the following:

• Investigating consumer complaints and performing root cause analysis.
• Investigating non-conforming product and implementing corrective actions.
• Developing quality training materials and training plant employees according to procedures.
• Creating emotional quality campaigns to inspire team to prioritize quality.
• Leading specific initiatives based on Corporate Quality guidance.
• Implementing plant wide quality programs.
• Trending quality KPI’s and presenting them in an easy-to-understand manner.
• Driving improvement in quality programs as gaps are discovered.
• Reducing Finished Goods Losses by driving employee accountability and building capabilities.

About You

ABOUT YOU: (all are required, except when noted as preferred).

• You have a bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, required.
• You have 3-5 years prior experience in food or dairy manufacturing, preferred. 
• You have prior experience with lean methodologies, preferred.
• You have leadership experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• You have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and the ability to motivate a team of employees.
• You have excellent analytical, trouble shooting, conflict management and problem-solving skills.
• You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• You have strong computer skills (Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
• You have experience with RCPS tools (6W2H, Fishbone, Why-Why)
• You have the availability to support a 24/7 manufacturing environment and have shift flexibility to work occasional nights, weekends as business needs dictate.
