The part-time LPN or RN is responsible for carrying out medical needs, physician?s orders, administration of medications and providing assistance where needed.

? Actively participates in treatment planning of clients.

? Administers medications in a safe manner and document administration (equal or less than 2 medication errors this appraisal period).

? Consistently maintains client confidentiality and agency security policies.

? Execute sound judgment by regarding the well being of the client for medical evaluation and medication administration.

? Ensures that documentation in client?s files, nursing log and other sources (e.g. Incident reports) are accurate and completed in agency prescribed guidelines.

? Adheres to agency prescribed guidelines for observing and implementing seclusion/restraint and observing clients on special precautions.

? Contacts the agency Psychiatrist(s) when necessary for consultation as it pertains to treatment of the client.

? Carries out written physicians orders accurately.

? Recognizes reports, document and seeks appropriate intervention for signs and symptoms of complications or change in status.

? Effectively and appropriately set limits that are appropriate to the situation.

? Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the client needs based on the age and functioning level of t he client.

? Actively observes for signs of abuse and takes corrective actions per agency guidelines.

? Executes sound judgment by effectively analyzing problems, determining appropriate actions and utilizing timely and logical decision making skills

? Models appropriate and professional appearance.

? Relates with clients, parents, peers, and the general public in a respectful, positive and professional manner.

? Works effectively as a team member.

? Displays a willingness to work on varying assignments and committees.

? Demonstrates ability to function independently to include follow through with assigned tasks.

? Begins and ends scheduled shifts per assigned schedule.

? Provides proper notification for absences and tardiness.

? Displays adaptability to changes in the work duties or settings, including being open to new ideas and approaches to current tasks.

Valid RN/LPN license in state of Florida with 1-3 years of experience in the mental health field preferred.

Work hours will be Saturday and Sunday 7a-7p.

Pay rate is $25 per hour for LPN,

Pay rate is $31 per hour for RN.
