Danfoss Power Solutions is searching for a Safety, Environment, and Health (SEH) Lead covering the Americas Region. The SEH Lead will support the divisions and the DPS Global SEHQ Leadership Team in achieving their strategic and operational goals. Working across the region, the lead will drive Danfoss One-SEH standardization and function as the core of a regional SEH community to share best practices, develop competencies, drive implementation of agreed initiatives and programs, and ensure SEH compliance to all relevant requirements. The lead is expected to be both an expert in the field of SEH and equally skilled as an emotionally mature leader and communicator in a complex matrix organization.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to, the following.

• Support the Ongoing Implementation of the SEH Management System elements, Continuous improvement activities, Internal SEH Audits, and Oversight during third-party SEH Management Audits in the Region.
• Support location efforts to ensure Danfoss Standards and Regulatory Statutes are consistently and effectively satisfied.
• Ensure Safety and Environmental protection in Danfoss locations, proactively meet compliance obligations, address risks, and achieve objectives through efficient processes.
• Ensure the skills and competencies of the site-level SEH leaders and other critical team members and drive relevant development.
• Support Division SEHQ Directors and location SEH Leaders & Leadership Teams with defining and implementing safety improvement action plans.
• Provide support to location SEH Leaders and Leadership Teams with assessment, improvement, and or control of challenging SEH Technical issues.
• Provide guidance and support to the sites and project teams when significant changes occur in layout or footprint.

Taking on the overall regional coordination of SEH activities in the business and to provide guidance and constantly communicate a clear direction across the organization.

• Bachelor's degree required - Environmental Health and Safety or similar relevant education.
• Strong knowledge and experience with Environmental and Occupational Health Management
• Systems - ISO 14001 and 45001 Standards.
• Relevant Safety and Environmental subject matter training and certifications
• Experience working in and supporting multiple manufacturing operations, divisions, or global
• functions.
• Experience working for a global manufacturing company with responsibility for multiple locations.
• Advanced planning and strong coordinating skills.
• Cross-cultural understanding and ability to collaborate in an international team.
• Flexible mindset, committed to continuous improvement.
