Position: As a Retail Associate you will be responsible for customer service and working toward building long-term relationships between Dancy Pantz Boutique and our customers. Retail Associates act as an ambassador for our company, actively educating our customers and staff about who we are and what we do!

Organization: Dancy Pantz Boutique is a new business in Okemos, Michigan that is focused on high quality, affordable dance and fitness apparel with a specific twist to serve the Greater Lansing area. Dancy Pantz will serve as a local-first boutique--prioritizing the Greater Lansing community and promoting a family-oriented atmosphere where customers can comfortably and interactively shop for their children or themselves. Our goal is to make retail fun, affordable and attainable.

Hours: Part time- based on availability.

Compensation: Based on experience

Responsibilities Include:

• Welcomes customers by greeting them; offering them assistance
• Directs customers by escorting them to racks and counters; suggesting items.
• Advises customers by providing information on products and staying up to date on fashion trends.
• Helps customer make selections by building customer confidence; offering suggestions and opinions.
• Stocks shelves both on the sales floor as well as the stock room.
• Maintain a clean and organized store and complete purchases at our POS (Point of Sale).
• Energetic spirit and the desire to work as part of a team and high standards and an unwillingness to compromise on quality.
• Other responsibilities as they relate to the job.

Skills Required:

• A passion for dance and fitness and a strong interest in and knowledge of dancewear brands is a plus!
• Prior sales experience in a retail setting is appreciated.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb, lift, reach and bend.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary, Internship

Pay: $11.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 20 per week
