We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer - Intern who will be responsible for a study for a best method and instrument that can measuring “Bulk” MCL value of wafers consistently. This is a 3 month internship on site in San Jose, CA or remote.

What we’ll get you doing:

• Validate the MCL measurement value of Moldev wafer before threshold chip processing and in-situ as well.
• Perform the study of accuracy in MCL measurement.
  • DOE study of MCL behavior (Bulk vs surface) for different batches of wafers / processes.
  • Seeking of best method in MCL measurement including tool and processes.
  • Validate the MCL measurement for accuracy and variation of wafer to wafer.
• Conduct a presentation of the final and conclusion from the study / validation on the MCL value of different wafers and processes at the end of contract period.

The essential requirements of the role include:

• In progress of pursuing M.S. or PHD. Degree in Wafer / Semiconductor Engineering or Material Science field
• Need to have access in a laboratory which has the capability and the instrument to measure the MCL value of wafer.
• Good hand-on in laboratory environment
• Good knowledge in DOE study
• Excellent verbal communication and writing skills
• Creative thinker with excellent troubleshooting skills
• Driven individual with passion for improving quality of products and processes

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Si Wafer knowledge and materials

The the hourly range for this role is $27-$30 an hour = $4320 - $4800 monthly. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
