Dana Distributors is Hiring a Driver Near Goshen, NY

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Deliveries are to Orange, Rockland, Sullivan, Westchester and Putnam Counties in New York...Home every night.

  • Arrive to work on time - neat and clean
  • Check all products, inform supervisor of any mistakes, load truck as needed.
  • Clean up work area around truck of paper, plastic and pallets.
  • Performs daily vehicle maintenance check and keeps maintenance up to date.
  • Delivers product to designated stops.
  • Rotates all products at stops.
  • Inform salesmen of any refusal or discrepancies on invoice.
  • Picks up all empties and issues credit as needed.
  • Calculates invoices collect funds or signature as needed.
  • Upon returning to warehouse, Drivers will complete a reconciliation sheet and verify all full and empty returns with checker.
  • Unload all full products and put back into stock in pick area.
  • Stack and wrap all empties, cases and kegs! No more than 1 partial pallet should be left when done.
  • Verifies money matches all paid invoices and all invoices are accounted for before turning into office.
  • Maintains a clean truck at all times.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
