Overview:

Dan Cristiani Excavating is a subcontractor with a diverse group of related companies licensed to perform work in many counties around Southern Indiana. We have worked hard for almost 53 years to offer a wealth of technical expertise in all areas of utility construction, and excavating services, including earth moving, land clearing, and demolition. We also have broad experience in stormwater drainage, water lines, sanitary lines, and stormwater retention.

JOB DUTIES:

• Drives truck with trailer, hauling equipment to and from garage/storage to work sites
• Ability to operate heavy equipment
• Positions chains, straps, and binders to secure loads during transit
• Loads and unloads equipment on trailers
• Conducts routine equipment inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment
• Maintains logs and records in compliance with DOT regulations
• Maintains and checks truck, trailer, and supplies to ensure road-worthiness
• Able to identify mechanical problems that may occur
• Self Motivated with the ability to make split decisions
• Duties and responsibilities may change with or without notice
• Ensuring that safety practices are followed
• Ability to follow instructions, read and interpret instructions

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous experience in construction or a similar field
• (2) to (4) years of experience as a Truck Driver, preferably for a low-bed hauler
• Valid Class A CDL and satisfactory driving record required per Company policy
• Knowledge of essential job functions and responsibilities
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Must be able to work in the U.S. and possess a valid driver’s license
• 21 years of age required
• Pass all drug and alcohol screens as required by Company policy and, if applicable, required by DOT regulations

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Must be able to climb and squat Individual must be able to work in inclement weather conditions.

This is a Full-Time position 1st Shift.

Relocation is not required

Pay: $24.00 - $32.00 per hour
