Dallas Veterinary Surgical Center is Hiring an ICU/ Patient Care Veterinary Technician Near Fort Worth, TX

Us: For over 30 years,Dallas Veterinary Surgical Center has served as the premier surgical resource for veterinarians throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area. DVSC specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of surgical diseases in dogs and cats. Our surgeons perform neurologic, orthopedic, soft tissue, as well as minimally invasive procedures. We pride ourselves on having employees that reflect our high standard of veterinary care. Our locations are all growing.

Our Fort Worth Location is searching for:

ICU/Patient Care Technician – Day Shift

o Our ICU/patient care technicians assist our doctors in a wide range of duties. Including placement of IV catheters, blood draws, IV fluid maintenance, surgical recovery, post-op pain management, post-op patient monitoring and documentation, daily upkeep of patient care ward, communication with clients. Other potential duties may include radiographs, assist surgical prep and induction.

Schedule: Anticipate – rotation schedule – 4 days/week – Full Time

About You:

  • You are a LVT or Experienced Veterinary Assistant dedicated to outstanding client service and excellent patient care.
  • You are dedicated to maintaining a positive, respectful, uplifting hospital culture and genuinely love working with people that share that same value.
  • Take the initiative – you are a hard worker who contributes to the operation of the entire hospital, you will help get all the day’s duties done!
  • You are versatile – you know how to effectively adapt to the individual needs of each patient and are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of patients and their families.
  • You possess clinical skills and experience that include (but are not limited to):

o Safe patient restraint

o Phlebotomy and catheter placement

o Knowledge of radiology safety and proper technique

o Proficient in post-op monitoring and care of surgical patients

o Solid foundation of knowledge of common veterinary medications

o Individualized, patient-focused nursing
